Raya is near and here are some makeup tips and products to help you to achieve a polished and enhanced makeup look. Soft glam or full glam, these tips and products will:
1. Exfoliate, clean and moisturized
- I love this step because of how satisfying it is to exfoliate all that gunk off your face. Before applying makeup, exfoliate and cleanse your face and apply a moisturizer suitable for your skin type. This creates a smooth canvas for makeup application and helps your makeup last longer.
2. Use a primer
- Apply a makeup primer after moisturizing to create a smooth base for your foundation and help your makeup stay in place throughout the day. Primers can also minimize the appearance of pores and fine lines.
3. Conceal strategically
- Use a concealer that matches your skin tone or is slightly lighter to cover any blemishes, dark circles, or redness. Dab the concealer on the targeted areas and blend it gently using a brush or your fingertips or my fav, a moist blender.
4. Set your base
- To prevent your foundation and concealer from smudging or creasing, set them with a translucent powder. Lightly pat the powder over your face using a powder puff, focusing on the T-zone or areas prone to oiliness.
5. Enhance your brows
- Fill in your eyebrows using a brow pencil or powder that matches your natural hair color. Use short, feathery strokes to mimic the look of natural hair and create a defined shape.
6. Define your lips
- Outline your lips with a lip liner that matches your natural lip color or the shade of your lipstick. I like to over fill just a little over on my cupid’s bow to make my lips look fuller. Then, fill in your lips with lipstick or a lip gloss in a color of your choice.
7. Blend, blend, blend
- Take time to blend your makeup products well for a seamless and natural finish. Use brushes, sponges, or your fingertips to ensure there are no harsh lines or demarcations.
8. Experiment and have fun
- Makeup is a form of self-expression, so don’t be afraid to experiment with different colors, techniques, and products. Practice and try new looks to discover what suits you best.
Remember, the goal of makeup is to enhance your natural features and boost your confidence. Everyone’s preferences and style may vary, so feel free to adapt these tips to your own preferences and needs. Practice makes perfect, so keep practicing and experimenting to find the makeup routine that works best for you.
